   One other note:  make sure it's readable by all users (i.e. the
letter "r" appears three times in the permissions).  Depending on
your security level, this may not be the default, in which case
root will be fine but regular users won't be able to do DNS
lookups :-)

   If it's not, fix it as follows:

chmod 644 /etc/resolv.conf
