There is no support for writing console messages to dual destinations.
You can write them purely to a serial port; see boot(F) and
bootstring(HW).  To interact with the boot program on the serial
console, you want "SYSTTY=1" as a separate line in /etc/default/boot.
To interact with boot on the video console, but have the kernel use COM1
for console messages, you want to add "systty=sio" to the DEFBOOTSTR
line in /etc/default/boot.
