Sigh. 'man ftp' look at the -u modifier. 'man inetd.conf' to find out
how ftpd is started up by default (doesn't have to be). 'man ftpaccess',
search for 'umask'.

man is a wonderful invention, for those who want to know how things
work.

Try 'man man'.
