ssh openssh compile

I used openssh mainly because I was told that I would not run afoul of
the American munitions act or some similar enlightened piece of
legislation.  After all, I wouldn't want American immigration  to bar
me from coming to Uniforum :-)

I downloaded the following:

bc-1.05a.tar
openssh-2.2.0p1.tar
openssl-0.9.6.tar
zlib.tar

using gcc from the skunkware CD these compiled and installed after
making two changes:

1.  in ./bc/Makefile, removed "-ll" from  LDADD = ../lib/libbc.a -ll

2. in openssh/ssh_prng_cmds, commented out  the line:
"lastlog"                               /usr/local/bin/lastlog  0.01

I am still trying to find documentation to understand what these the
effect of these two actions are but even so, it all seems to be
working.  I am going to do quite a bit more testing before I put my
full weight on it, though.
